Design, create, and officiate a custom personal ceremony 

We provide help with planning and organization, creating, and officiating your ceremony. This process is typically done in-person, with the option to connect virtually as needed. Upon request, we are available to travel when officiating ceremonies taking place outside of the Pacific Northwest.

Planning & Organization

We help you clarify your intention and vision for your ceremony. With a focus on setting up the framework for your ceremony, we will work with you to determine when and where it will be held, who will be in attendance, and who will help to create and perform the ceremony. In this phase of the process we craft a framework and an action plan to guide the ceremony creation. 

Creating Your Ceremony

The art of ceremony creation centers on weaving together the heart of your story, your own creative ideas of how to make meaning of this threshold experience, and how to bring together the people in your life that you would like to share this experience with. We help you identify personal symbolism, interactive and experiential components, and legacy tributes that you may want to incorporate into your ceremony. We hold space to explore how your specific faith tradition and/or spiritual or secular orientation can contribute to the ceremony design. We assist you in selecting readings, music, and rituals that will help bring your ceremony to life. 

Officiating Your Ceremony

On the day of your ceremony we will be there to guide and support you every step of the way. Lisa will perform the ceremony in collaboration with you and your community.

Ceremony Consulting Services

We provide consulting services to those who are planning to officiate their own ceremony and/or a ceremony for a loved one. Consulting can be done virtually or in-person. 

Creativity & Ceremony Elements

We specialize in collaborating with individuals and families to incorporate poetry, creative writing reflection, life stories, tactile art-making, natural elements, and music into the custom ceremonies we create for our clients.

Any of the following elements can be included in your custom ceremony:

• Poetry & Literature
  We curate poetry and literary passages from our collection that can be read as part of your ceremony. We welcome our clients to contribute their own personal writing and favorite literary pieces. 
• Group Writing Reflection
  Would you like to include personal stories and reflections from your family and/or community in your ceremony? Lisa is an experienced facilitator in helping family and community groups engage in a reflective creative writing process. She can guide you and your loved ones in a pre-ceremony writing reflection process or an in-person process during the ceremony. 
• Community Art-Making
  Tactile art making is a powerful way to ground and center during times of changes. Making art in community can be a sacred way to honor a personal passage and a meaningful experience to incorporate into your ceremony. • Incorporating Nature
  The natural cycles of sprouting, blooming, and decomposition that mark the seasonal shifts, provide a powerful point of reference for the cycles we experience in our own growth and change. Sometimes we are in a blooming season, other times we are navigating the winter of our life. As we experience life transitions, we can look to nature for inspiration, comfort, and connection. We are happy to incorporate natural elements into your ceremony that have personal significance for you.  
• Live Music
  Upon request, Full Circle Ceremonies can collaborate with musician, Lewis Childs, to provide live music at your ceremony. Lewis is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, with over twenty-five years of experience performing music at a wide range of personal ceremonies and special events. Lewis can sing in multiple languages and has a rich background in playing music from all over the world. As needed, Lewis can bring in musical collaborators. In addition to being a gifted performer, he has a strong sensibility of how to help use music as balm for the spirit, emotional comfort, and community connector. Learn more about Lewis.
• Creating a Ceremony Book
  After the completion of your ceremony, we can work with our team at Family Heirloom Arts to create an heirloom book honoring your ceremony that the can be treasured for generations. The book can include content featured in your ceremony, as well as photographs from the ceremony, and additional personal reflections.
