“Sharing and preserving life stories uplifts the spirit, deepens self-knowledge, strengthens family ties, and builds bridges across generations.”

Welcome

Family Heirloom Arts is dedicated to helping you and your family celebrate life stories and significant life milestones through the creation of illustrated heirloom books and custom art.

We work with you to record your stories, turn them into polished written narratives, and illustrate your stories with personal photographs and custom illustrations. Have a project in mind? Get in touch – we’d love to hear all about it and see how we can help.

Family Heirloom Arts also offers life storytelling presentations, workshops and retreats throughout the Pacific Northwest. Join us for an upcoming program so you can learn how to get started on your own personal storytelling project.

Book-Shelf

It is amazing to see all of the pieces come together in one place. You helped turn our collection of photographs and stories into a real storybook, weaving all of our lives together. It is so well written and beautifully illustrated. Decade by decade, my children can see where they come from and how the generations before them lived.

An Anthology of Pandemic Poems & The Art of Completion

I am excited to share that three of my poems are featured in /pãn| dé| mïk/ 2020: An Anthology of Pandemic Poems, which was published this winter by the Oregon Poetry Association (OPA) in response to these unprecedented times.

Give the Gift of Stories

As we round the corner towards the end of 2020, I want to wish all of you a chance for healing, regeneration, and renewal in 2021. I am looking forward to sharing stories and hopefully workshops and retreats, too, in the year to come! Contact us to give the gift of stories to a loved one this holiday season.

Power, Presence & Perseverance

This time seems almost impossible to make sense of, it is making meaning of our experiences that brings us back into our power center and back in touch with ourselves. Where do you draw your strength and fortitude from? What matters most to you?
