“The events in our lives happen in a sequence in time, but in their significance to ourselves, they find their own order…the continuous thread of revelation.” -Eudora Welty

Just Released, Our New Video is Live!

Over the last few months I have had the pleasure of working with Kevin Balmer of Diggable Monkey Video Production Services to create a video showcasing Family Heirloom Arts services and programs. This video is designed to help clients, students and those interested in the field of personal history learn a little bit more about our process of helping people to tell their stories and connect with the passion and values at the heart of our work. As the founder of Family Heirloom Arts, and being in the storytelling business ourselves, it was a real treat to have the chance to tell our story. Special thanks to Kevin for his own mastery of bringing stories to life and to my husband Lewis Childs, founder of Groundswell Studios, for the original music scoring and audio engineering. I also want to thank heirloom book client Emily Standish and workshop participant Judith Friedman for their heartfelt reflections on our work together during their cameo appearances on the video. Thanks to all of you for being part of the Family Heirloom Arts community. Watch and enjoy!

“The book was distributed last Saturday night to rave reviews and many emotions. We had thirty-seven family members together, including three cousins over ninety years old. Everyone was blown away by our combined efforts. Thank you very much for your contribution to this wonderful gift that I was able to give my family.”
